What are bilco doors?

I think the security guys do like to come in and just do there standard set up
and get out. the guy who came to our house tried to tell me I did not neet
alarms on the upstairs windows? Not that it was any of his business, but I had
to explain that I wanted to know when the windows were opened from the inside
and that there was easy access from the back roof before I could get him
upstairs to look. I do not understand why it mattered to him as long as I
payed for the darned extras.

I do not have any good information on the actual question though. We are just
using the company from the one that is already installed as they are reputable.

It is much cheaper to pay for the equipment upfront yourself, rather than get
into one of the longer more expensive contracts where they install the stuff
for what they call free.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] choosing a alarm system for your home

For those of you who have alarm systems on your home I would appreciate
it if you would share what you considered when choosing the alarm
company you have. Also , would you want to make any changes. I have had
one company here and I think he was upset as I told him I want to
consider a few options. For instance when I told him part of the system
I want is for an alarm for my outside enteryway or bilco doors. He
suggested I just cover that by having a motion dector cover the door
which opens into a hallway on the main floor.. my problem with that is
if someone left the bilco doors unlocked , then someone could roam the
basement and who would know ? Lee
