A while back I spoke to a technician for the Porter Cable nailers that I have. For both the BN200 and the FN250 I was told to use 3 drops for every 1,000 nails. I have a cheap Harbor Freight stapler and use 1 drop about every 250 staples or so. What a friend uses is an in-line oiler. If you go this route I do not recommend the Harbor Freight one that costs under $5.00. I thought it would be a good idea and the whole container of oil ended up in my gun. Again I won't tell you the first 3 words that I uttered when this happened. A friend took the nailer apart to clean out about an ounce of oil. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Max Robinson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Blind Handyman" <blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 16, 2007 1:53 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Oil in air tools.
The oil change thread made me think of this. The air tools I just got came with a little bottle of some kind of oil. The instructions say to put three drops in the air inlet connector before use. What they don't say is how often after the first use to put in the oil. Does anyone know? Any guesses? Regards. Max. K 4 O D S.
