Ed: Probably this is going to depend on what the cost of electricity is in your area. Figure you'll get 3.4 BTUs out of a watt, and 21,591 BTUs out of a pound of propane and calculate accordingly.
Certainly you're going to have to haul the propane, and that might be something to consider too. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Edward Przybylek Sent: Saturday, November 10, 2007 11:05 AM To: BlindHandyMan Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Quartz Heater VS. Propane Heater Hi all, I'm looking for a heater to heat my garage when I'm working out there. I'm currently looking at a quartz heater that claims to be able to heat 1000 square feet and a LP heater that claims 700 square feet. The gas heater is rated for indoor use. Does anyone have any opinion as to which might be a better way to go? As always, any help greatly appreciated. Take care, Ed Przybylek [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
