yep, a big, several hundred watts, class Aamp is a heavy draw and
should have a clean sine wave to avoid inefficiency in the power
supplies and possible hum.

Same applies in the home where you need proper switching between
the inverter and the grid as well as good sine wave forms for all
your home stuff.

But you're not going to power either of these kinds of loads for
long with batteries unless you have a big bunch of them in which
case managing a multi battery system gets complicated for reasons
of ballance.

Running big loads for long times from batteries is not yet ready
for prime time and can get very expensive and rather dangerous.
