You got that right. But I'd go for a ride if she pretended to make a
qualifying run. You just can't get the neck snap out of a car today...

  Larry
My garage is a standard 2 car garage and one half is used by the people in
the other half of the duplex. No room to park my car let alone really do
much indoor work on it. Once you account for the table saw, grill chop saw
and full sized toolbox there is no room left. That is really a bitch up
  here
in the winter. I think I will just have to take a trip down there and
  check
out your shop. If I can sample some of that devil dog, I will bring you
  down
  some venison.

This makes me feel a little better. When I got married I owned a 3 car
garage and when I moved here there was nothing. Sometimes I think about
packing a couple U Hauls and moving back there...

None darn it roof isn't high enough. The guy I bought my house from used

  Dale,

I have had a 175 gallon Campbell Hosford oilless upright compressor for
about 15 years. I have it plumbed in to my shop with amflow fittings at 15
foot intervals around the parameter and a couple of overhead pull downs
  and
I have never had a problem with it. I have it connected to a moisture
separator and I keep my air guns oiled and everything works well. I don't
think that compressor has been shut off in 10 years. I simply bleed off
  the
moisture separator from time-to-time. In your Son's case you will want to
spend about as much on a moisture filter as the compressor simply because
painting doesn't tolerate any kind of water in the system.

My son does some air brushing. He has been using one of those little
diaphragm continuous compressors. you can about feel the ;pulses as the
machine works. I thought maybe a compressor might be a welcome Christmas
  present.

Now I have a pretty substantial oilless compressor which I don't work all
that hard and I rather appreciate not having to take much care of it. I
  see
though a lot of oil lubricated compressors and about the only thing they
seem to claim for them is long life but never with any facts or figures.

Do any of you know if and how much better these might be and if any of
  that
oil becomes atomized into the air stream?

Now air brushing doesn't require a large volume or very high pressure but
  I
figure a small tank reservoir should deliver more even and predictable
  pressure.

  Thanks.
