curtis, so far as I know this is how it will go. Soon, as soon as converter boxes are available, some part of the federal gov will make cupons available to every citizen, that will provide about $30 or $40 towards the price of a convverter box that will take digital T.V. signals and produce either NTSC video signals or R.F. (As in chanel 3 etc.) that will go directly into an analog T.V.
How accessible the converter boxes and there probable remotes might be is your guess. How ever it appears that, although you'll have to buy either a converter box or an actual digital T.V. the converters or basic ones anyhow will end up not costing more than $20.00 or $30.00 Do not buy one now, the cupons aren't out yet, and the current converters aren't as good as the newer ones will be. You won't have to change antennas as the digital chanels are in the same ranges, mostly U.H.F. as the analog. One friend said he got poor analog pictures and after getting a digital tuner, got crystal clear pictures. the must go digital date is February 17, 2009. Tom
