this is the theoretical and laboratory thinking.

in reality, should the signal become lower than the threshold, then their is

a toatl loss of interpretation resulting in thumps and bangs which are 
particularly intrusive and unpleasnt.
that is why it is important to make sure that the sensitivity of the 
receiver, gain of the antenna and signal strength give rise to a favourable 
result.
