In case nobody else has replied, No alcaline batteries can not be safely recharged. there used to be a specially made type of alcline that claimed it could be partially recharged but they were not successfull.
Attempting to recharge normal types of alcaline batteries can lead to over heating and possible explotion. Others may claim they've done it but don't try it unless you are a heavy risk taker, and nobody or nothing you care about is present. Tom Fowle Rehabilitation engineer
