Man, what a large on going project, you have taken on. You might as well update the list on as your progress, and how it's going, as you do the work, on this adventure... Best of luck. The last two sunny days my son and I started a new project. I have a 12 by 20 shanty type out building behind my house that is going to be removed and replaced. So far all the shingles and all roofing covering have been removed and cleaned up. We have covered it all with tarps since it is supposed to be rainey the next 5 days or so. As soon as we have nice sunny conditions we will start to dismantle all the lumber from the top down and save all the good stuff for a new structure as time and the sun permit. What we will do is widen a porch breezeway 6 feet than built a new deck addition 12 feet wide and 30 feet long. It will have a full east and west wall 24 feet long with storage behind doors on both sides for tools and recycling container, etc. All will be under a nice green metal roof. I want to have a small brick area for a deck warmer to use all year round. At the ends of the 24 foot walls, I will hang a hinged down frame for both ends that will be screened to allow the entire space to be screened in when needed. I'll be able to staple plastic over them both in the winter to work in there and have my heater give me heat as I burn my wood scraps and saw dust up. Other than the brick area, I will be going with plastic composite floor deck boards. The main frame will be pressure treated lumber cemented in the ground with block and gravel enclosing all space around the base. The two walls will be sided to match my house. This might not all be done this summer; but, the project is started. I was wondering yesterday how many pinged roofing nails are in my lawn. ....................bob [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
