Guess I'll need to add more details... I bought these tiles at Habitat for Humanity, Not sure of the hardness but my wife says they are quite pretty.
Saturday afternoon, I used my 1 3/8" diamond hole saw and an electric hand drill. I scored the tile as suggested but broke the first piece while trying to do it... I used rocking motion, cleaning the crown often, adding water, to no avail. Sunday morning, Off to CT for a drill press, My wrists could not take it anymore... The JobMate, cheapest model had the lowest speed. Brought this back home to try it again. Also bought a new bit at HD. Removed the pilot bit as suggested by them. After a full afternoon of trying, I scored about half way through one hole. There's got to be some trick that I'm not aware of or my tiles are the hardest ones available.
