I was talking to a friend that has a tool and party rental business. He told me of a cold table that he just purchased for parties and picnics. You fill the table with ice and set dishes that you want to keep cold like shrimp or desserts. The table is fold up with a drain plug near the middle. When finished you pull the plug with a five gallon bucket underneath. I think this would be a fairly simple project for the blind handyman to construct. There are quite a few materials that could be used to line the ice holding area. and a sink drain would work very well.
