I ordered the talking multimeter that Bob was so kind to share the information. I understand how the voltage of a battery could be checked to see if it is weak. I was always under the impression that for a true test the battery had to be under a load condition. I suspect that the audible battery testors provide the load when it is activating the buzzer.
