Yes, I went through NFB.org but there is a place in Lincoln Nebraska which
evidently sells it, and when you receive the one from NFB.org, you receive
with it, a tape which is done by them, telling about it and giving you their
catalog, so, maybe they are the ones who handle it now.
It is 4 pieces.
The first is the click rule part, which is like a tube with an extension
which clicks as it comes out and has raised lines on that protruding part,
by which you can measure half and full inches, up to 6 inches.
There is a screw down knob or wheel to lock the protruding part in place, so
that it won't slip.
I think including the tube and the stops on it, you can measure one foot.
Then there are three other tubes which are one foot each with threaded bolt
or screw ends on them which screw into that protruding part, and then to
each other.
At the end you have a 4 foot measure.
Unfortunately, they didn't put raised lines on either the tube which that
click rule part clicks out of nor on any of the 1 foot tube extensions.
Also, on the original tube there are 2 metal square parts or stops, which
you can measure by or go by.
bump up against your fence or whatever, yet, none of the extention tubes
have the same squares on them, so if you measure something with the
extentions on, you're going to have one unlevel end.
The stops which are on the original tube are level and make for a good
little sitting part, but only for that part of it.
Will work for measuring up to about 7 or 8 inches out from the blade of your
table saw to the fence, but after that?
I don't know.
Of course, I also don't know just how far out my fence will go either
The idea is, if you want to go over a foot and some inches or half inches,
up to 4 foot, you just like add a 1 foot tube, and it gives you 1 foot 6
inches and then you click that protruding part out to measure the half and
full inches up to whatever you want.
1 foot, 6 and a half, 7, 7 and a halfand so on.
I have yet to get to use it on a project, but was sitting here comparing it
up next to that plastic tape measure with the raised line and dotted 6 inch
ruler on it, which NFB or someone provides.
They seem to match up, but I'm not awake yet either.

  Matt,

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question, but have a couple of my own:

Where did you buy your click rule - nfb.org? How much was it? And, how
many different pieces (and their lengths) did you get with it?

  Thanks,

  Tom

  Hello folks,
Just got my click rule today.
When measuring, and marking, do you make your marking cut immediately
after
the raised line, if you want to make an equal inch or half inch
measurement,
or do you cut immediately before the last raised line?

  Thanks,
  Matt
