It does work but not the way that I thought it would. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Hodges" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2009 7:18 AM Subject: RE: [BlindHandyMan] auto switch and night light
Lenny, Maybe I missed on of the messages or something, but I'm a little confused. If you have a switch from Sears that costs $20 and it doesn't work, why don't you exchange it for a new one? _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lenny McHugh Sent: Monday, January 26, 2009 9:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] auto switch and night light No, I thought that it was. When Karen came home I had her read the instructions. The tool plugs into the top next to the switch. the two outlets on the bottom are for the accessories, shop vac and or work light. When the switch is set to automatic the shop vac and light will come on when the power tool is turned on. In manual mode only the power tool will come on. I may have a simple fix. either an expensive remote control switch as recommended by another member or to make a special switched outlet. Thinking about it if I took a triple gang electric box a double poll switch and an outlet. Run the hot feed to the bottom side of the outlet and one side of the double poll switch. Take a short plug wire and run the hot to the other side of the switch and the output of the switch to the top of the outlet. Plug the shop vac into the top of the outlet and the short wire into the automatic switch. Now one position of the switch will allow the current to flow through the automatic switch working the shop vac. In the other position power will only go to the shop vac. In the next day or so I will look around for the parts. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Spiro" <sp...@iamspiro. <mailto:spiro%40iamspiro.com> com> To: "handyman-blind" <blindhandyman@ <mailto:blindhandyman%40yahoogroups.com> yahoogroups.com> Sent: Monday, January 26, 2009 9:18 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] auto switch and night light is it possible that it is malfunctioning?
