I've had internet service through my cable company for several years. Recently I hooked up to the cable phone service. They switched out my modem for a slightly bigger one that serves the computer and the phone. It's sitting under my computer table on top of the UPS. I have noticed that since getting cable phone my internet service is much more reliable. I guess they put folks with cable phone on a higher priority to maintain service so that both phone and internet stay on.
