When I was searching for an alarm for the basement stairwell I came across a motion detector with a remote switch. I will check with Karen to see if she still has the information. I do believe it was less than $20. It did have two settings one the two note chime and the other an intruder siren . ----- Original Message ----- From: "clifford" <cliff...@tds.net> To: <blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 02, 2009 8:30 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] burglar alarms for large pups
Dear Jewel: A somewhat more complicated method might involve the installation of a motion detector over the area you wish to protect from Buddy, which could be turned of and on remotely with a hand held control, and when activated by motion in the area protected, an alarm would be triggered, or a bright light might also dissuade your big boy from raiding the kitchen. You could always use a loud piece of what some call music, to give him a scare. One other method might be to install one of the game cameras over the table, and those devices are designed to flash a picture when movement is detected. The only problem here is that you would again need a remote of-on switch, or you would end up with a lot of pictures of Jewel at dinner.
