They do say it will run off of the 12, 14, 24 and 36 volt battery and like you I assume it charges when plugged in. There is also a plug through, which I understand to mean an outlet on the radio from which you can run tools.
Some of these tuners work all right but others, I have a sony here which really sucks! and my Yamaha tuner too. thanks. I don't know about that radio but mine has a battery charger in it. So I would imagine that one would charge as well. The cool thing is mine has a cord but it will also run off the 18 volt battery it charges if there is no power. As far as blind friendly tuning, it has a button to go up and of course one to go down. Push either and it stops at the next station with a good signal. You can set a station to one of the buttons so you have 4 presets for FM and 4 for AM. But there is nothing special about tuning that would stand out if you can't see the numbers. I had my son show me how to work the buttons and he set the clock I can't read. But the sound is great and it's sturdy. I'm sure that is roughly the same as neither of them make their own radios. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dale Leavens To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, January 16, 2010 10:02 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Milwaukee - V28™ Job Site Radio Someone mentioned having a job site radio for Christmas. Bostools have the Milwaukee - V28™ Job Site Radio on sale this week-end for a hundred and 12 bucks Canadian. The description however doesn't say what I would like it to tell me, like, the digital tuning, is this blind friendly? Sounds like a decent and rugged radio and I like to bring one outside with me when I work. Of course I don't have any other Milwaukee tools so would have to buy a battery, don't know if it charges when plugged in, might have to buy a charger too. Anyone know about this radio? thanks.
