I'll bet they are out there immediately as the snow is falling. We don't bother moving small amounts of snow like that except maybe with a quick pass with a scraper. I like my 36 inch wide scraper for light snow, tilt the blade slightly and walk down one side of a walk pushing the snow to one side then turn and comeback on the other side, like a miniature grader.
It is interesting though what they do use where they don't have proper removal equipment. I was watching them remove snow in New York State I think it was with blades mounted on garbage trucks. Not ideal but better than nothing for those occasions when they need it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lenny McHugh" <lmch...@verizon.net> To: "handyman-blind" <blindhandyman@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Sunday, February 28, 2010 8:17 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] gas powered leaf blowers for snow >I was talking to a friend that was the maintenance manager for the local > hospital.
