I just watched a Wood Smith Shop tip and it talked about using o-rings on the shaft of your router bits to keep the bit from slipping. I've not heard of this. Does anyone have experience with these? Is there any concern about the o-ring melting? No matter what you do, you are going to generate some heat when spinning a bit at 18K RPM against a piece of wood.
