Motivation

High dynamic range content is already available on the web in the form of
HDR video and image formats. Most operating systems support high dynamic
range graphics through native APIs. This proposal adds HDR support to the
web.

This proposal is a result of discussions in the ColorWeb group. There is a
desire among all participants to be able to test the proposal "hands-on"
before rendering further judgment, especially in deciding some of the
details regarding default color space conversion math.
