You actually get something much like that in running z3/bb iirc. Sometimes the problem is the saturation of docstrings.
There are many autogen doc projects through Zope community history. API.zope.org has a bit. Some packages are documented in packages.python.org. Pypi has doctests worth a dash of salt for many projects. It's been difficult to pull this all together without philipp's book, baiju has kicked off some docs that could compete and are much easier to contribute to.
