As some of you may have seen from my blog (
http://wwmm.ch.cam.ac.uk/blogs/murrayrust/?p=2055) we are holding a workshop
on OSCAR/OPSIN in July. This continues to put them on a robust footing.
Anyone is welcome - it's likely to be a mixture of developers, people
generally interested, and will probably be mainly to explain the current
refactoring and near future. You'll probably get more out of the workshop if
you are familiar with (at least using) the software so there's time to try.

I have also set up a mailing list:
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/oscar3-chem-developers
for anyone who wishes to contribute. We've already started to get OPSIN
vocabulary contributions.

I am not sure whether OSCAR and OPSIN are Blue Obelisk projects but I think
it would be nice if they were. It doesn't require anything other than being
on the lists. I was formally the initial author of these but Joe took over
quite quickly and I think he and Peter Corbett chose the names so I have
copied them in.
