Use Proxmox 1.9, use 5107R. This is a pair which succeeded only in 1.9. 1. download the 5107R template 2. Rename it to SL-6-blueonyx_5107R_i386.tar.gz 3. Upload it to the ProxMox box using the ProxMox admin 4. Shell into the ProxMox box and execute # cd /etc/vz/dists/ # cp scientific.conf SL-6.conf # cp scientific.conf SL-6-blueonyx.conf We need both in /etc/vz/dists/. 5. Create a new virtual machine using the ProxMox admin. The password must be blueonyx. 6. Go to Virtual Machine Configuration. Select the options tab and turn on User Quotas. - Save. 7. Start Virtual machine using the ProxMox admin 7-1. Check Virtual Machines Logs. <Boot/Init> must be following ; starting init logger init: readahead-collector main process (xx) terminated with status 1 Starting udev: [ OK ] <Command> must be following ; /usr/sbin/vzctl start xxx Starting container ... Container is mounted Adding IP address(es): xxx.xxx.xx.xxx Setting CPU units: 1000 Setting CPUs: 1 Container start in progress... VM xxx started 7-2. After several minutes, the cpu usage of started Virtual machine will be becomes close to 1-4 or zero persent as stable. 8. Go to the virtual machine with your browser and complete the install.
