Greetings all,

My connection provider is assigning me to a different IP block, so I've got
to change the IPs for my server and for all of the virtual sites. Most sites
have dedicated IPs, different from the server IP. Both old and new IP blocks
are live until I finish moving, then the old IPs will be reassigned.

I went to Server Management > System Settings > IP Address Allocation and
added the new IP block. Then Server Management > System Settings > TCP/IP
and added my new server IP to the Secondary Interface, saved and confirmed I
could ping that IP.

Next I went to go change the IP address for a virtual site to one in the new
IP block. I go to Site Management and click the Modify icon for the virtual
site, then General Settings. I enter a new IP and click Save, but get this
red error message on the status line:

"The IP address nnn.nn.nn.nnn is not allowed. Please choose another IP
address."

I can successfully add a brand new virtual site to one of the new block IPs.

I cannot change an existing site to one of the new block IPs.

I cannot change an existing site to a different IP in the old block either.
I get the same "IP address not allowed" error.

I have tried moving other virtual sites, and get the same behavior - it is
not specific to that one site I tried first.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this so I can move existing
sites to new IPs without resorting to cmuExport/cmuImport?

Regards,

David Thacker
