I was under the impression that my use case was an anomaly so I accepted that and just croned the ssh config and bashrc files getting changed back. Sounds like it's impacting more folks. I'd REALLY dig seeing the sshd isssue resolved by adding an additional option to the web interface rather than simply not overwriting our changes. I'd suggest using 'ssh key only' rather than 'without-password' to avoid some confusion.
Either way, I do sincerely appreciate all of the hard work and effort that has gone into this product from it's days as Cobalt and then everyone (especially Michael Stauber) taking it to where it is today. I understand that I'm not the typical use case so have come to accept the limitations that any appliance is going to have. Even in having to deal with minor things like this it is in my opinion by far the best option out there. Thanks everyone!
