Hi all.

The entries “No chain/target/match by that name.” are cosmetic. I have
committed a SVN patch that will hide those items. Let me explain a bit about
what log_traffic does.

For a while, I have had on my own servers and client servers daily error
messages that indicate analog is unable to parse its input files due to bad
input. The input was generated by log_traffic. After a fair bit of research, I
completely re-wrote log_traffic. The new code is reliably now generating
network statistics for analog.

The no chain error was something that was cosmetic only. It was a command that
was checking if a particular chain exists. If it already exists, it would be
all good. If it didnt exist, it gets created… but it spat out those errors.
That is now fixed.

The modules.dep entry is something I have never seen before… Lets do this. Can
I get you to manually execute this command

/etc/cron.hourly/log_traffic

and tell me what output you see.

Thanks.
GK
