Thank you for your input. I just checked again. IE11 on Windows 7,
Windows 8 and Windows 10 will work.

The only IE11 that doesn't work is the one that came with the original
Windows Phone that hasn't been updated to "8.1 Updated".

Windows phone is dead, and if the devices haven't all been disposed of by now, then they certainly will be by the time 5210R is ready for widespread release.   Let's not get wrapped up with that.

I think people tend to hang onto their iPhones a little longer because (a) they're generally supported (or at least supportable) and (b) if it ain't broke don't fix it.   Case in point, Mom just retired her iPhone 5 a couple weeks ago.  I have a feeling she'll be hanging onto that shiny new iPhone XR for years.   Even so, she was able to update to at least IOS 9 on her old iPhone 5.

I *might* get a bit antsy with the OSX bits, as Macs will last a good long time.   That said, my main road machine is a mid-2013 MacBook Air which I consider to be pretty crusty even if it is in nearly mint condition and still runs 12 hours on a charge.  Even it's on OSX (now "macOS") 10.14.5 with Safari 12.0.1 so it will make the move to 5210R with me.

All this to say it appears that anything that wouldn't have support for the new ciphers is beyond "legacy" status at this point.   It's my opinion they can be dropped.
