You could keep the classical blueprint 24 grid (it's easier to keep up to
date with the latest developments if you don't stray too much) but play
around with the main container.
For instance, if you wrap all your content in a span-23, and style the
background to make it look like the page is no wider, then you're all set.
(Using the fauxcolumn technique as inspiration).

Otherwise you'll have to generate a special blueprint screen.css with wider
gutters, using http://bluecalc.groupion.com/ or
http://kematzy.com/blueprint-generator/
