Hey everybody, if you're new to BP or if your not, check out this site
I worked on: http://cca.qc.ca. Its the site of the Canadian Centre
for Architecture in Montreal. The CCA is a pretty big deal locally
and internationally, and when they gave us (Bluesponge) the challenge
of designing their new site we came up with a very minimal and clean
design - which was then mine to work with. Right away the design
called for a grid based framework and after some research I settled on
BP for its ease of use (and I do think its semantic enough btw) and
logic. Using the various grid builders around the web I settled on
the right grid size and dimensions and got to work. The site also
required a semi-liquid layout which I provided a custom solution for
(of which I'm quite proud ;) ) and so BP is only used for the central
content column. But man, did it save my bacon! Check out the CSS
using firebug or what have you to see some of the customizations I
made. There is a ton of other CSS in there, but the main point of
interest might be the .remove_half class I applied to some columns.
The idea behind this (although not really properly implimented) was to
have a way to chop a column when necessary. This sort of worked. But
yeah, over all BP was a HUGE help in developing the site and getting a
nice consistent layout, especially considering all of the various (and
dynamic) templates the CMS we created calls for. Enjoy! - Jesse
