It's hard to tell without seeing the code. It could be that HTML is not structured properly or that you have some custom CSS that is not working well with BP. Validate your HTML, and try to see if the problems disappear if you remove your custom CSS. Last time i checked forms where doing fine in both IE6 and IE7.
