Hi Chris, i used that some years ago (the niceforms-project hasn't seen any update since then) an das far as i have to say "you don't need js for styling forms.
a) Blueprint comes with (basic) styles for forms and has a plugin for this b) you can style forms with for ex. "sliding doors" and border: 0; Js is hard to render for browsers and people who own a netbook will have problems loading and interacting with your page.
