I haven't tested this thoroughly, but having thought it through a bit,
it seems to me putting the following in my custom CSS
.container {padding:20px 0 0 20px;}
would be safe, both in not messing with BP's layout and in the cross-
browser sense. Confirmation would be appreciated. . .
