Brett,

I followed the TIS instructions to replace a blower motor in my 1996
328i sedan.

This called for removing the cables attached to the ECU and Transmission
module.

I can't get enough clearance to mate the transmission connector and want
to remove the module, mate the connector and reinsert the module.

How can I get that module out of the little rack in the firewall?

The ECU pulled right out but the trans module is up out of sight and
appears locked in place somehow.

Thanks,

Ed

Interesting. I am wondering what the characteristics are of a car with such
high torque compared to horsepower. It accelerates like mad but power drops
off markedly at higher engine speeds? My car is just the opposite, high hp,
but comparatively low torque. So, he kills me in the quarter mile and I
take the half mile ribbon? Maybe not?

My son passed this on to me. I've only gotten about 1/2 way through and
need to get back to work, but it's interesting.
