From where I stand, no reason at all why we shouldn't have done them. My recollection (from the board perspective) was indeed that we were up til our necks in internal debates (TDC, then followed by LOOL), with very little energy left for other bits. But is it necessary that all initiatives need to originate at the board? Many of the suggestions I think would be valuable even today, so why not start one or more? And more generically speaking, it would be great if the new board would both be more open (in where work and discussions take place), and also able to form smaller, more effective working groups. Such that we can further the many things we've left unfinished. I would personally love to draw from motivated community members - the board can certainly setup ad-hoc working groups, staffed with whoever cares & has time to work on specific topics. > I'm sure others have also a lot of ideas on what could have been > done by us as a community. > Is that something that perhaps further surveys could bring to light? I personally loved that initiative from the MC; one of the examples where good stuff happens on the foundation level, that is not originating from the board. Cheers, -- Thorsten
