So it looks like we're having a problem with the scheduler on DNA@Home where it will send either a 32 or 64 bit version of an application to a host, which causes some of the workunits to immediately error out in the case where a 32 bit linux application gets sent to a 64 bit linux host. The 32 bit application is also a bit slower than the 64 bit one, so it's not an ideal situation in terms of performance.
I've tried setting the <primary_platform_only> flag, but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas why this might be happening or any fixes to for the problem? --Travis ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Travis Desell <deselt @ cs.rpi.edu> 1-518-867-1054 Adjunct Professor & Postdoctoral Research Assistant Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 110 8th Street, Troy NY 12180, USA http://www.cs.rpi.edu/~deselt/ MilkyWay@Home ( http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/ ) DNA@Home ( http://dnahome.cs.rpi.edu/ ) Worldwide Computing Laboratory ( http://wcl.cs.rpi.edu/ ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address.
