I see from a conversation in boinc_projects that David says Boinc v.7 is planned fairly soon.
I did once ask in a Boinc Trac ticket whether it would ever be possible for the two Boinc folders to have different names. For example calling the folder containing Boinc data 'Boinc Data'. I do think it can be confusing to give two different things the same name. Here's the ticket: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/ticket/736. One difficulty with a name change is of course that documentation has to be changed. But if a new version is launched, a lot of documentation has to be changed or updated anyway. So might the introduction of a new version be the best moment to do this?
