Kevin: It sounds like there's a new version of MySQL with new rules about default values. What's the MySQL version on your server?

Folks I’m trying to set up a POGS beta test server that will test various new features we’re implementing and the new Android code. I used the latest version of git for the server and I’m having some real problems. I’ve spent the last two days trying to get it to work 1) I couldn’t create accounts from the BOINC client to the new server. The error message was the client email already exists, which it didn’t as the database was empty. We tried though the web page and got lost of errors that various fields didn’t have a default. So I changed them in the database to allow nulls. This meant we could create an account and attach to the project, but… 2) We don’t seem to have any hosts being created (which could be because of my earlier hack) 3) The scheduler just keeps dying. I’ve tried using <debug_req_reply_dir>. The files are created, but the log only contains the PID and Client IP. The Schedule request is find, but the reply is empty Anyone got any clues how I can debug this? It’s in the AWS cloud (an I take regular AMIs) so I can easily go back a step and redo something without too much swearing.
