one-goal deficit against Chelsea FC and reach their second UEFA Champions
League final in three seasons. English champions Chelsea hold a slender 1-0
advantage thanks to Joe Cole's goal in last week's first leg in London but are
without Andriy Shevchenko this evening due to a groin problem and Ricardo
Carvalho with a knee injury. Michael Essien is back after suspension though,
while Liverpool recall Peter Crouch, who started as a substitute last
Wednesday.

Liverpool will face either AC Milan or Manchester United FC in the final
on 23 May after an enthralling night here at Anfield, which has ended with the
Merseysiders claiming victory 4-1 on penalties.
The final whistle sounds and this match, and a place in the final of the
UEFA Champions League, will be decided by penalty kicks. This is only the sixth
tie in the history of the competition to go to spot-kicks and the first
semi-final. Liverpool, of course, were involved one of those six previous
shoot-outs when they famously defeated AC Milan in the 2005 final.
