Tim Cahill: out since March with a broken metatarsal
Tim Cahill's comeback from a broken metatarsal, sustained at the beginning
of March in a Premiership fixture at Sheffield United, will be complete
when he turns out for Australia in this summer's Asian Cup.

The midfielder has been given the all-clear to play in the Socceroos
opener against Oman on 8th July; he will not be risked in the friendly
with Singapore on 30th July.

The Blues' no. 17 told the Official Everton site, "I've got another X-ray
to go but they've given me the all-clear for the Asian Cup. It's feeling
well. It's just good to be back, good to be involved."

Anthony Crea, Australia's strength and conditioning coach and Everton
physio Mick Rathbone both been helping him with his rehabilitation.

"At the moment we're still on straight-line running and just basically
building his core fitness strength up with gym work," said Crea.

"Once we get over to Singapore we'll start doing a bit more ball work and
working on pivoting and start moving from side to side. He'll definitely
be ready."

Providing he comes through Australia's Asian Cup campaign, Cahill should
nearing peak fitness by the time the Premiership season kicks off again on
11th August. The fixtures for the new season are due out a week today.
