"Frustrated Milan denied at Torino"
An Alessandro Rosina penalty 13 minutes from time gave Torino FC a
2-2 draw against AC Milan and left the Rossoneri three points adrift of
Serie A leaders FC Internazionale Milano.
Ronaldinho winner
Inter's
1-0 win against Juventus on Saturday ensured the champions would end
the weekend at the head of the table and Milan knew they had to
respond. Torino took a 25th-minute lead when Alessandro Rosina's cross
was headed in by Roberto Stellone only for Pato to equalise just before
the half-hour following good approach play by Kaká and Clarence
Seedorf. Five minutes later Ronaldinho curled in a free-kick and there
were chances at both ends before Milan were denied victory when Kakha
Kaladze handled a cross from Rosina, whose chipped penalty beat
Christian Abbiati.
Napoli denied
S.S. Lazio
and SSC Napoli both missed the chance to end the weekend in the top
three above Juventus after being held to draws. Napoli are now level
with Juve following a 2-2 draw at home to Cagliari Calcio. Marek Ham¹ík
gave Napoli an early lead but Diego López equalised ten minutes into
the second half. Ezequiel Lavezzi restored Napoli's advantage with six
minutes left only for Daniele Conti to level in added time. Lazio,
meanwhile, needed an 80th-minute Ousmane Dabo goal to secure a 1-1 home
draw with Genoa CFC, who had led through Diego Milito.
Roma boost
Both
Genoa and Lazio's neighbours secured 3-0 wins to ease their relegation
fears; UC Sampdoria defeated Calcio Catania after an early Claudio
Bellucci strike was added to twice in the second half by Antonio
Cassano while AS Roma prevailed at US Lecce thanks to goals in the
first 48 minutes from Mirko Vuèiniæ, Juan and Francesco Totti.
