The BoltWire <code> is not the XHTML <code> but a markup to show
BoltWire code. It was a bit confusing for me the first time! I needed
the XHTML <code>, so I created a new wiki markup. It can be used block
style:

#!
code
!#

or inline style: this is #!some code!# too.

It renders <pre><code> in the firste case and <code> in the second.

Here you are the "code code" [:-)] you have to insert into your config/
config.php file:

// *************************************************************
// Code

// The original <code>...</code> markup is kept to be used with
BoltWire code,
// while the proposed #!...!# markup is used for any computer code,
both inline and block style:

MarkUp('block', 'blockcode1', '/(^|\n)#! *($|\n)/s', '$1<pre><code>
$2');  // blockcode start
MarkUp('block', 'blockcode2', '/(^|\n)!#* *($|\n)/s', '$1</code></pre>
$2');  // blockcode end
MarkUp('style', 'inlinecode', '/#! *(.+?) *!#/m', '<code>$1</
code>'); // inline code

It's part of a WikiCreole (http://wikicreole.org) implementation I'm
working on, though this code markup is not part of the standard.
There's a proposal to use ##...## for code in WikiCreole but I had
problems when nesting, so I chose #!...!# for my site.
