I'll look into this. I've never noticed any problem with the [result] markup not keeping the markup assigned to it by the search form... It should work with either template= or fmt=, if not there's a bug.
I'm making a list and will get to things as soon as I get a chance. I only have another week or two and my classes are over. A fast 6 months! And then I'm going to take a nice long vacation afterwards--during which I'll tinker a good bit on BoltWire. Whew...
