Well, we could really use some nice skins, too. :) Let me know if you have any questions about how skins install, or anything else. They are pretty straightforward, but there are lot's of possibilities... And our docs are likely neither complete or up-to-date!
Oh, I just did a quick fix to the last release and re-uploaded seconds ago, that will allow you to set code.snippets.skinname and have those individually override anything in code.snippets.
