I should look at what you did Marcos. I presume it was something
similar... At least my biggest problem was also adding extra markup
rules to clean stuff up... And even then, it's not all perfect... But
it worked out pretty nice ultimately... Or at least ultimately, as in
so far...

If we can get it to work in a way that's in harmony with wikicreole,
then your plugin could be simplified to just add the different or
missing markups.

We're pretty close to 3.xx. Just polishing up the existing new
features, and a minor switch to how args are handled which will break
every existing plugin there is (just about). That will be the step
that determines 3.xx. It's actually already in the core just waiting
to be kicked on.  Hmmm... Could have a temporary function which sends
back both kinds of args to give people a chance to upgrade their
plugins. Perhaps with error warnings or something. Oh, I don't know.
Could just say, upgrade all your plugins!
