Yes, somewhere along the way (there was a lot of work on the markup
patterns) headers became a bit more strict. Meaning it needs to be at
the beginning of a line. So if you change it to this it should work
fine:

[t width=100%][r][c][if thingy]
!Heading1
[else]
!Heading2
[if][c][(trails blabla)][t]

I don't recall why I made this change, but most likely it had to do
with line spacing. We could try loosening the markup requirements, but
I'm hesitant to change anything now. It's always such a tricky
balance... But for now I'm inclined to keep the markups rules
tightened up a bit, as it does simplify things. My apologies for the
change.
