I think that sounds convincing:

disabled its online search because of performance issues and just
forwards search queries directly to Google."

Meaning: The main advantage of a SQL-database should be superior speed
and accurary on performing a search. Wikipedia obviously switches to
file system search performed by Google (indexing files like Boltwire
does).

Even knowing that Boltwire offers some means to speed search up, like
using info var indexes.
