Maybe, but if you had on a page: paragraph one paragraph two paragraph three And forget to put 2 extra line returns, you will have p tags around the first two but not the last. I don't think we should expect people to remember that. Maybe. But I'd rather people not have to worry about markup as much as possible. Defeats the purpose. As far as taking it back out, that should be solved by the patch I suggested in the last email. In fact, to make things easier, it might be just as well to add the lines and take them back out both in the domarkup function. One place. Shouldn't affect anything--but just keep the code simpler and easier to maintain. I don't know. Always got these ideas floating through my head....
