i had hoped to get some good bongo hours this weekend and get the smtpc daemon out and ready for the m3 release, but i'm afraid i wasn't able to make it. i do, however, think that i fixed the bug that andrew was experiencing where mail would get bounced. i wasn't seeing it on my system as the fix had gotten lost in the clutter of a ton of debugging that i added to see mail traversing the queue (and i do mean a ton). i had noticed a potential issue where i wasn't initializing a variable properly, used to determine if there is a loop in the aliasing system. one bug remains where it doesn't handle aliasing errors properly which i'll need to fix pretty quick. i am seeing odd messages in the syslog:
Jan 27 21:14:21 [syslog] WARN queue - Couldn't deliver entry 79cbeb9 on queue 7, status -10_ status of -10 is "try again later" and the message is destined for the local user. i'm not sure what the deal is there, but i think i'll drop in the debugger and trace that message to see what is up with it. if anyone else is seeing a similar message, please let me know as this is higher priority on my list than smtpc. as for that, it delivers mail from swedepop to feltonline great, but needs work to make it more robust, along with dsn bounces and such. pat _______________________________________________ Bongo-devel mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/bongo-devel
