I also got a sparc64 somewhat recently. I have successfully set up Debian on it.

Getting this machine was merely for fun, but I have always intended to
fix the Bongo sparc bug[0] we encounter on Debian. However, please do
feel free to beat me to it! I haven't quite had time to dive into this
one.
