You only see the 3 pages that Google wants you to see. The whole website is indexed just not in Googles main index. And that's just for the "www" part. If you look at the forum part (site:forum.bongo-project.org) you'll see that there are 775 pages indexed. site:planet.bongo-project.org returns 6 and that's because older blogs are not saved. Yahoo shows much more, ( http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oG7zSq3bRLawMBaxPal8kF?p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bongo-project.org&y=Explore+URL&fr=sfp ) You can bet that those pages are in googles indexes also. > I would like to suggest that we improve the capability of all search > engines to index our pages. This will highlight our site better in future. If you want to improve the website in such a way that we are better found you should think about inward links with relevant keywords. You need to decide how you want to be found etc. etc. It's a lot of work. I think it is more important (at this moment) that the big community out there knows about us. Promote the hell out of Bongo and the links will come automatic. We already have a pagerank 5 whith the state the site is in at this moment, that shows that Google thinks we are relevant and have authority according to Google. > Thoughts please. Getting the word out would do more then improving the site which is looking good. Could be made some more relevant but not in an SEO kind of way. Put analytics on it, put it in webmaster tools if you realy want to. My 2 cents. > Lance Michel -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Bongo-devel mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/bongo-devel
